I’m kind of obsessed with this app that I recently found. I used to use WordTyrant, which is kind of like your own little NaNoWriMo whenever you want, but it quickly became obsolete when I found Word Tracker. Here are some screenshots of what it looks like:
This is the main screen where you have all of your projects. I think you can have one or two projects for free, but then it makes you pay to get unlimited. It was like $4. Clearly, I paid, because then you can use it not only for books, but for papers or articles or whatever you want, forever.
This one shows you the stats about your writing for a certain project. Clearly, mine is a little messed up because I didn’t use this from the very start, so it thinks I can write a massive amount per hour just because I put my initial word count in there beforehand.
This one shows you all of your data entires so you can see when you wrote, how much you wrote, and how long you wrote for each day that you enter data.
Then this is the screen that you go to whenever you’re ready to write. You click that big “write” button, then write away, and then when you’re done, you click stop and tell it how many words you just wrote.
It’s pretty cool for someone like me who LIVES to track everything, plus it makes it really fun to see how far you are. I SERIOUSLY recommend it if you’re looking for an app to motivate you!
